    Daily Cappadocia Tour

Tour Itinerary 09:15 You will be picked up from your hotel for the tour. 09:30 Your tour will begin. UCHISAR CASTLE It is built on the highest point of the region. It has a totally unique castle shape, including tombs, tunnels, and churches, which you cannot find anywhere else in the world. GÖREME OPEN AIR MUSEUM An open-air museum particularly important for understanding the influence of religion, especially Christianity, on the region. For good reason, it is the most famous attraction, a collection of several rock-cut churches painted and carved by Orthodox monks between 900 and 1200 AD. ÇAVUSIN OLD VILLAGE An old Greek village will be the next stop on the tour. Çavusin is a village located about 4 kilometers from Göreme. The old village is largely deserted, as the area has been ravaged by rockfalls. In Çavusin, you can visit the Church of John the Baptist, which probably dates from the 5th century, with paintings from the 6th, 7th, and 8th centuries. The view of Rose Valley is excellent from this village. PASABAGI The best place to see three-headed fairy chimneys. Pasabag, the Pacha's vineyard, is surrounded by incredible natural rock formations; a spectacular scene. LUNCH 1 hour for lunch at Han Restaurant, which is very cool and popular in the region. You will start with soup, which is self-service. POTTERY ART GALLERY Since the Hittites, 2000 BC, people could obtain red clays (terra rosa) around the Kızılırmak River, the longest river in Turkey, and white clays (kaolins) from volcanic hills, which they could use for their daily life by shaping the clay by hand on spinning wheels. DEVRENT VALLEY The ruins of Devrent are spread over three valleys, which also house several pointed fairy chimneys with large stems. ÜRGÜP FAIRY CHIMNEYS The "capped fairy chimneys," mainly found near Ürgüp, are topped with a conical-shaped body and a rock. The cone is made from tuff and volcanic ash, while the cap is of a harder and more resistant rock, such as lahar or ignimbrite. The fairy chimneys, symbols of Ürgüp, are called holly spirit chimneys. There are mother, father, and son; the fairy chimneys stay together. CARPET FACTORY Each carpet, with its patterns, is like a collection of messages, beliefs, and symbols. Each pattern woven into a carpet is the image of a feeling, a desire, or a wish. As each carpet represents a living story, from the youngest age to today, women have patiently and tirelessly written their joys and sorrows in amazing codes and magical letters that must be read line by line. 17:30 Your tour will end and you will be taken to your hotel.
