day 1
The Terraces of the Atlas, Western High AtlasLog out as soon as your honeymoon begins. Forty-five minutes after leaving Agadir airport, you set off to conquer the slopes of the High Atlas, deep in Berber country, and leave civilization behind. Clusters of palm trees greet you, then our charming duo, Luc and Hafida, at Les Terrasses de l'Atlas, a traditional house clinging to the mountainside and enjoying an exceptional panorama. A Berber tasting meal awaits you, which you will enjoy as a couple by candlelight in one of the many living spaces, or in the company of your hosts.
day 2
Immersion in Berber countryA day without a vehicle, at the local pace and totally tailor-made. Whether you want to bask in the sun on one of the many terraces of the property, take a bucolic hike to discover the local way of life, or participate in a workshop such as making hand cakes, argan oil, or a typical tajine, your hosts will adapt to you. A bit of simple Berber music at aperitif time, a wood-fired hammam, a henna tattoo, your wedding already seems so far away!
day 3
Lunar landscape for honeymoon.Luc takes you aboard his 4x4 through the Anti-Atlas on a very scenic and little-traveled route, heading due south, to discover deep valleys and gorges dotted with palm trees. Near the small town of Tissint, a completely unique fixed camp has been set up in a hollow, right in the middle of a 100% mineral, almost lunar landscape. You will have a large private tent and enjoy a candlelit dinner.
day 4
Wild bivouac in the dunes of the Devil's erg. After a final resupply in Foum Zguid, we leave the tarmac to venture into the desert area of the Chegaga erg, which stretches to the end of the Drâa valley at Mhamid. Picnic at the place known as the Three Wells. Then, crossing Lake Iriki, hopefully dried up, with frequent mirages. We leave the beaten paths to head towards a little-known erg, the Devil's erg, where the temperature in summer can be... infernal! We choose a bivouac spot wherever we want, at the foot of the dunes, to set up camp for two nights. The idea is to immerse ourselves in the desert, far from the hordes of tourists, and enjoy its magic. Accommodation under a traditional nomad tent, in all simplicity. That doesn't prevent us from having the drinks of our choice in the fridge and a good Berber meal in the evening, under the immense starry sky.
day 5
Enjoy! No driving today, you are in "slow tourism" mode and totally disconnected. Breakfast in bed at the time of your choice. Then, as you wish: walk in the dunes, baking bread in the sand, fossil hunting, brainwashing, rest... Second night in the dunes.
day 6
Oasis M'DouerIf we take the road back, the stay in the desert is not over yet. We skirt the Petit M'Douer mountain by following the bed of the Drâa wadi, then a track along the cliffs of the Grand M'Douer to a postcard oasis, facing beautiful rock formations worthy of Monument Valley in the States! While Luc sets up the bivouac, you can scramble around these formations or take a natural shower at the well. The bivouac under the palm trees is really pleasant, even if the place is starting to become a bit well-known. Campfire.
day 7
The gardens of Dar Al HossounAfter dismantling the bivouac, we take a paved road through the Anti-Atlas to Tazenakht, the carpet capital, then follow the southern slope of the High Atlas to Taliouine, the saffron capital. Once in Taroudant, discover the sumptuous gardens of Dar Al Hossoun, a 4* establishment, and enjoy the spa area to recharge. Accommodation in a junior suite.
day 8
