• day 1

  Flight Paris - Bogota

  

  Arrival of the flight in Bogotá in the afternoon or evening. Welcome and transfer to your hotel located in the historic district of Bogotá. Check-in to your room. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

• day 2

  Unusual discovery of Bogota by bike

  In the morning, you set out to conquer Bogotá by bike, an unusual experience with visits to places that most travelers never see. In the afternoon, free visit of the city (Gold Museum, Botero Foundation, Monserrate...). Meals not included. Overnight in a guesthouse.

• day 3

  Flight Bogota - Pitalito, then drive to San Agustin and to your host family.

  Flight Bogotá / Pitalito and welcome by your French-speaking guide. Transfer to your host family (about 1h15 by road) and welcome by Consuelo and Dagoberto. Lunch with the family. In the afternoon, Consuelo and Dagoberto will be delighted to show you around their little corner of paradise, which they lovingly cultivate and maintain. Dinner and overnight stay with your hosts.

• day 4

  Cultural and gastronomic explorations

  In the morning, drive to Armando and his family's "finca campesina" (farm). Guided tour of the property through the coffee, sugar cane, and tomato plantations. Back at the finca, the family will prepare an "envuelto de yuca," a traditional dessert from the region. Typical lunch, then taste YOUR dessert! In the afternoon, visit the San Agustín Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. A must-see during a trip to Colombia, this park, located in the heart of the Andes, is full of historical treasures, including religious monuments and megalithic sculptures from the pre-Columbian civilization. Meals included. Overnight stay with a host family.

• day 5

  Hiking at El Tablo and La Chaquira, then discovering local life.

  In the morning, hiking to the different sites of the region along the paths taken by our ancestors: El Tablón and La Chaquira. Continuing in the archaeological park, you will be able to observe pieces of Augustinian statuary to delve further into the pre-Columbian past. In the afternoon, passage through the "Estrecho" narrows of the Magdalena, the narrowest part of the river, between the 2 mountain ranges, central and western. Then, visit to a banana fiber weaving workshop. Finally, head to the village of Obando and its museum, with its underground tombs and antechambers… Lunch on your own, dinner included. Overnight with a host family.

• day 6

  Road to the white city... Popayán

  

  Morning, road to Popayán (approx. 4h30). In the afternoon, free walking discovery of the "White City", one of the most important cities in Colombia along with Cartagena de Indias, due to its architecture and its historical and religious heritage. Meals at leisure. Overnight in a guesthouse.

• day 7

  Route to the café area

  Day of travel to Salento (approx. 7h). Check-in at the hotel in the late afternoon. Meals at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

• day 8

  Hiking in the Cocora Valley and discovery of local crafts.

  

  Accompanied by your local French-speaking guide, depart in shared jeeps to the entrance of the Cocora Valley, in the Los Nevados National Natural Park, a place highly regarded by ecotourism enthusiasts! You will begin an easy hike of about 2 hours, in the heart of the tropical fauna and flora of this majestic valley. In the afternoon, you will visit Santiago and his crops with their multiple colors and flavors... Finally, stop by the artisan town of Filandia, renowned for its basketry, then meet Pedro and depart in his jeep to his finca located 45 minutes away by track. Family dinner and overnight stay.

• day 9

  Welcome to Pedro

  We invite you to experience a different coffee culture, off the beaten path. Pedro, a grower and producer, welcomes you to his finca in a very family-like atmosphere. He will be eager to share with you his completely ecological lifestyle, within this exuberant nature. Lunch with Pedro's family. Return to Salento at the end of the afternoon. Dinner at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

• day 10

  Flight to beautiful Cartagena

  Transfer by private vehicle to the airport, then flights to Cartagena, or Cartagena de Indias in Spanish, the pearl of the Colombian Caribbean coast. Arrival in the evening. Meals at leisure. Overnight in guesthouses.

• day 11

  Unusual off-road discovery of Cartagena.

  Morning dedicated to visiting beautiful Cartagena and its most emblematic neighborhoods... Relive the highlights of the history of this mythical city! Discover traces of its past, marked by its colonial architecture, with cobbled streets and colorful buildings. Along the way, stop at a dance school for an introduction to "Champeta," a typically Colombian musical genre and dance. Tasting of typical "Costa" dishes. Rest of the afternoon free. For the more curious, the city offers many surprises and beautiful historical sites to visit. For those who prefer relaxation, you can stroll along the port of Cartagena or enjoy its beaches. Meals at your leisure. Overnight in guesthouses.

• day 12

  Meeting with the fishermen of La Boquilla and introduction to crab fishing.

  Morning introduction to crab fishing with the fishermen of La Boquilla, a village of the Afro-Carthaginian community 20 minutes from the center of Cartagena. For one morning, you will discover all the secrets of traditional canoe fishing in the mangrove. Lunch with the fishermen. Free afternoon. Lunch included, dinner on your own. Overnight in guest rooms.

  Return flight

  Breakfast. Free morning, then check-out and transfer to Cartagena airport (about 20 min). Check-in and boarding for your flight to Bogotá. Connection with the transatlantic flight.
