    Annapurna Base Camp Trek

    Arrival in Kathmandu Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by our representative from the Friendship World Treks Team at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Make sure our representative has a display board at the arrival gate. You will then be transferred to the hotel. We can either relax in the afternoon or take a walk around the area. You will have dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant, where you will enjoy participating in a Nepalese cultural program as well as tasting the local cuisine. Overnight at the hotel.

    Day 2

    The duration of the journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 7 hours by tourist bus. The trekking staff will arrive at your hotel at 6:30 in the morning to pick you up, then the bus will leave around 7:00 for Pokhara. If you wish to take a flight to Pokhara instead of making the long journey by bus, that is also possible. There are several flights to Pokhara from 9:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon, which offer a splendid view of the Himalayas to the north. Pokhara is a picturesque lakeside city, nestled in the shadow of the Himalayan peaks, and is the ideal starting point for trekking. Overnight at the hotel.

    Day 3

    Route to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri The journey to Nayapul takes about 2 hours. After this short drive, we pack the bags for the porters and begin our journey. We walk through the lush valley of the Modi River, passing waterfalls with pools inviting for a swim. The climb up the steep staircase to the Magar village of Ulleri (2,070 m) is tough for a first day, but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the valley and the peaks of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.     Day 4

    Trek to Ghorepani Today's trek consists of a gentle ascent through pastures and cultivated fields. After Banthati, the trail continues to climb more gently, passing through oak and rhododendron forests up to Ghorepani (2840m). Overnight in lodge.

    Day 5

    Visit to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani Today, very early in the morning, we start a one-hour hike to Poon Hill, at an altitude of 3,200 meters. Poon Hill is a famous viewpoint and offers a breathtaking view of the sunrise over the Himalayas. After spending an hour at the viewpoint, we return to Ghorepani, where we have a hot breakfast. Then, we hike to Tadapani (2,610 m). The trail climbs up to the Deurali pass, then descends steeply through a dense forest covered with moss and rich in birds, down to Tadapani. Overnight in a lodge.

    Trek to Chhomrong The day begins with a steep descent through rhododendron forests. Leaving Tadapani, we descend sharply through the forests, then the trail ends at Gurjung, which is the village of the Gurung, with an easy walk to Chhomrong at an altitude of 2,140 m. Overnight in a lodge. Overlooking the village stands the mighty summit of Annapurna South, with the fishtail facing the valley.

    Trek to Chhomrong The day begins with a steep descent through rhododendron forests. Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through the forests, then the trail ends at Gurjung, which is the village of the Gurung, with an easy walk to Chhomrong at an altitude of 2,140 m. Overnight in lodge. Overlooking the village stands the mighty summit of Annapurna South, with the fishtail facing the valley.

    Trek to Fishtail Base Camp (Machhapuchhre Base Camp) Our day begins with a climb through bamboo, then rhododendron forests up to the Hinko cave. The trail stays on the west bank of the Modi, which now crosses a more open valley, and eventually emerges into the Sanctuary. Straight ahead is the high lateral moraine of the South Annapurna glacier and the Modi follows a deep cliff to the right. This is the site of the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,480 m). Overnight at the lodge.

    Trek to Annapurna Base Camp Annapurna Base Camp is completely surrounded by mountains and this region is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. Two hours of walking from Machhapuchhare Base Camp bring us to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at an altitude of 4,130 m. There, you will have a breathtaking view of the mountain landscapes, which is very spectacular. As we arrive early at the base camp, we spend our time visiting the glaciers and continuing the journey further towards the base of the mountains. Night in a lodge.

    Return trek to Bamboo From the Annapurna base camp, we follow the same path that descends today. There are about 7 hours of easy walking to return to Bamboo. Night in lodge.

    Day 11

    Trek to the hot springs of Jhinuwa We follow the same path up to Chommrong. From Chomrong, the trail descends very steeply towards the hot spring of Jhinuwa, where you can bathe in the natural hot springs. Overnight in lodge.

    Day 12

    Trek to Deurali From the Jhinuwa hot spring, we begin our trek to Deurali. Deurali is a good viewpoint to admire the Annapurna range and the route you have covered in recent days. Night in lodge.

    Day 13

    We make a three-hour descent to Phedi, where our vehicle awaits us to transfer us to Pokhara. The afternoon is free to explore the city. Night at the hotel.

  • day 14

    Day 14

    Back to Kathmandu The return from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes about 7 hours. The afternoon is free in Kathmandu for last-minute shopping. In the evening, a cultural dinner accompanied by a traditional dance is served.
