LIMAWelcome at Lima airport. Transfer to the Britania hotel in the Miraflores district and overnight at the hotel. If your flight arrives early in the day, it is possible to include an activity such as a city tour from day 1 of your trip.
day 2
LIMA-HUARAZAround noon, departure by superior category bus to Huaraz, at the foot of the Cordillera Blanca, a paradise for hikers and mountain lovers. Arrival in Huaraz in the evening and transfer to the El Patio de Monterrey hotel. Overnight at the hotel. It is also possible to take a flight on this route.
day 3
HUARAZ: PASTORURI SNOWY PEAKDeparture for the first excursion of your trip. You ascend into the Cordillera Blanca towards Nevado Pastoruri. You will make stops along the way to discover the "Puya Raimondi," a huge high-altitude cactus, as well as naturally sparkling mineral water springs. The vehicle will take you to an altitude of nearly 4700 meters. You will walk up to a viewpoint located at 5000 meters, from where you will have a splendid view of Nevado Pastoruri and its glacier. You descend back into the valley and return to Huaraz at the end of the day. Overnight at the hotel.
day 4
HUARAZ - LLANGANUCO LAGOON - TRUJILLODeparture in the morning through the "callejón de Huaylas," a valley that separates the Black Cordillera from the White Cordillera. You will make several stops in the main villages of the valley, such as Carhuaz. The road offers some superb viewpoints of Nevado Huascarán, the highest peak in Peru (6778 meters), and Nevado Huandoy. You then ascend into the White Cordillera and enter the Huascarán Park to reach the Llanganuco lagoon, with its turquoise waters, in the midst of a magnificent mountain landscape. After lunch in Caraz (not included), visit the village of Yungay, which was buried under a mudslide in 1970. Return to Huaraz at the end of the day. Transfer to the bus station to take a superior category night bus to Trujillo.
day 5
TRUJILLOArrival in Trujillo very early in the morning and transfer to the Los Conquistadores hotel, where a room will be at your disposal. After breakfast, departure for the visit of the main archaeological sites of the Mochica and Chimu civilizations, the most important of the northern coast of Peru. The Huaca de la Luna and the Huaca del Sol were pyramids formed by several platforms built with hundreds of millions of adobes (sun-dried mud bricks), decorated with polychrome earthen bas-relief wall decorations. Then departure to the seaside resort of Huanchaco for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, visit of the ruins of Chan-Chan, a vast site also built of mud brick. Return to Trujillo at the end of the afternoon.
day 6
TRUJILLO - CHACHAPOYASFree day to take a break in your journey and enjoy the colonial charm of Trujillo and the pleasant eternal spring climate that prevails on the northern coast of Peru. In the evening, departure by superior category night bus to Chachapoyas.
day 7
CHACHAPOYAS: KUELAPArrival in the morning at Chachapoyas and transfer to the Casa Vieja hotel to drop off your luggage. Then, departure to Kuelap. Perched on a rocky spur, this pre-Inca fortress, 700 meters long with enclosing walls over 12 meters high, represents a colossal feat. The beauty of the site and the extraordinary view of more than 50 kilometers in all directions make Kuelap a major archaeological site in Peru, comparable to Machu Picchu. For many, this will be one of the highlights of this trip to northern Peru. Return at the end of the day to Chachapoyas. Overnight at the hotel.
day 8
CHACHAPOYAS: GOCTA WATERFALLIn the morning, departure towards Coca Chimba, a village from where you can see the Gocta waterfall, 771 meters high, one of the highest in Peru and in the world. Departure for a hike of about 2 hours and 30 minutes through a tropical undergrowth to the foot of the waterfall, where you will have lunch. After a rest period, you take the way back. Arrival in Chachapoyas in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
day 9
CHACHAPOYAS-CHICLAYOIn the morning, transfer to the bus station to take a higher category bus to Chiclayo, a journey through two very contrasting regions of northern Peru, between the Amazonian side of the Cordillera and the coastal desert. Between the two, the road passes through the Porculla pass, the lowest pass in the Andes. Arrival in Chiclayo at the end of the day, transfer and overnight at the Costa del Sol hotel.
day 10
CHICLAYOIn the morning, departure for the visit of the Túcume pyramid complex and the Royal Tombs Museum of the Lord of Sipán in Lambayeque. The discovery of the tomb of the Lord of Sipán and his goldsmith treasures is considered the most important of the last 50 years in Peru. Overnight at the hotel.
day 11
CHICLAYO - MÁNCORAAfter breakfast, transfer to the bus station for a bus trip to the beaches of the far north of Peru. Arrival in Mancora in the afternoon and check-in at the Casa de Playa hotel. Free time at the end of the day and overnight at the hotel.
day 12
MANCORAFree day to enjoy the beaches of Máncora, the most beautiful in Peru, and its warm waters in a tropical atmosphere. Night at the hotel.
day 13
MANCORATo end the trip, what could be more pleasant than spending a few days on the beach, enjoying the pleasures of relaxation and the mild climate of this part of Peru? Overnight at the hotel.

MANCORA-LIMALast swim in the morning, then transfer to the small town of Tumbes, at the northern tip of Peru, near the Ecuadorian border, from where you will take a flight to Lima. Arrival in Lima in the afternoon, transfer and overnight at the Britania hotel.
