• day 1

  FRANCE/SÃO VICENTE

  Arrival at Cesária Évora airport in São Vicente. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

• day 2

  Mindelo/Santo Antão/Alto Mira

  Level 3 – 600 m – 09 Km – 2H30/03H00 Breakfast. Departure in the morning by boat to the island of Santo Antão. Transfer to Boca d’Alto Mira, in the northwest of the island, where a walk of about 2h30 will begin, crossing the Lagedos canyon, arriving at Ribeira das Patas. A medium-level walk that allows you to discover green and wild landscapes at the same time. It is a place where you can see the aggressiveness of volcanic eruptions during the formation of the island… Packed lunch halfway. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

• day 3

  BOILER WATER/SPLIT STONE/RIBEIRA DA TORRE

  Level 4 – 1,500 m – 10 Km – 04H30/05H00 Breakfast. The tour begins in the Àgua das Caldeiras area, which is located in the forest on the plateau to the east of the island, at nearly 1,500 meters above sea level. We start descending through Pedra Rachada, at 1,000 meters altitude. We continue our hike in the Ribeira da Torre valley, with an impressive descent, from which we can observe the Torre from several angles, notably Tope Miranda (which is located in the middle of the valley). Next, we will pass through Rabo Curto, located 500 meters above sea level, and finally, Xoxo at 250 meters. Packed lunch halfway. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

• day 4

  Ponta do Sol / Cruzinha da Garça

  Level 4 – 200 m – 16 km – (Seaside) - 04H30/05H00 Breakfast. The route remains along the seaside, with impressive and very attractive views, starting at Ponta do Sol, passing through Fontainhas (former pirate village), located at 100 meters altitude, then through the beautiful village of Corvo at sea level (small valley with plenty of water), followed by the village of Formiguinhas 100 meters above sea level. Finally, we will arrive at Cruzinha da Garça, a fishing village where you usually have the opportunity to see the fishermen arriving. Packed lunch halfway.

• day 5

  CHÃ DE IGREJA/MOCHE/CAIBROS

  Level 4 – 700 m – 14 km – 04h00/05h00 Breakfast The hike starts at Chã de Igreja, a charming village located on a promontory, with the church and whitewashed houses, where we will enjoy magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean. In this region, a lot of sugar cane is grown. Climbing up to Moche, from where we can enjoy a magnificent view of the Garça valley, then descending to Caibros, an area with plenty of water and, consequently, many cultivated fields. Packed lunch halfway. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

• day 6

  COVA / RIBEIRA DE PAUL / MINDELO

  Level 3 – 1,300 m – 10 Km – 03H00/03H30 – Lunch with locals Breakfast We descend from one of the largest volcanic craters in Cape Verde, Cova, at an altitude of 1,300 meters. To start, we climb up to the edge of the volcano, from where you can admire the whole valley, then we descend in zigzags through an area called Cabo da Ribeira, down to Passagem, finishing at 400 meters altitude in the Paul Valley, where you can see all kinds of plantations (banana trees, coffee plants, sugar cane, vegetables, fruit trees). Lunch at Costa's where you will taste a typical dish called "Cachupa". Transfer to the port of Porto Novo. Ferry crossing. Return to Mindelo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

• day 7

  MINDELO / ISLAND TOUR

  Breakfast Panoramic tour of the city of Mindelo, fascinating for its universality, the friendliness of its inhabitants born from the meeting of several peoples, and its lively nightlife. Descent along the famous marginal avenue that runs along the sea, where you will see the statue of an eagle ready to take flight. Discovery of the replica of the Belém Tower from Lisbon. Visit to the fresh fish market of all kinds, the African market with its clothes and African objects, the Pracinha de Igreja, which is the oldest square on the island, and the fruit and vegetable market. Route towards Calhau. During the journey, you can see various oases where windmills are used to extract water from the ground. Continue to Baia das Gatas, a superb bay with its beach along a calm and crystalline sea, and its immense natural pool. It is here that, every year, a famous music festival takes place, bringing together people from all the islands and from different foreign countries. Lunch at the restaurant. Return via Salamansa, a small fishing village. We invite you to meet them and get to know their way of life. Departure towards Monte Verde, a promontory with a view of Mindelo and the northern beaches of the island. Then, route to Mindelo, where we can appreciate Monte Cara, which is one of the attractions of São Vicente: it is nothing other than a mountain whose relief, seen from afar and in profile, has the shape of a face. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  SÃO VICENTE / FRANCE
