• day 1

  Day 1: Europe - Montreal

  Flight to Montreal and arrival at Dorval - Pierre-Elliott Trudeau airport in the afternoon. After a short trip to downtown Montreal, you will settle in at the Roberval (or similar), a charming little apartment-hotel. For dinner, head to lively neighborhoods like the old town or the Prince Arthur district! Go and discover the typical atmosphere of the "boîtes à chansons".

• day 2

  Day 2: Montreal

  Free day in the Quebec metropolis! Go visit the botanical garden, the 2nd largest in the world, or the Biodome, where you will discover Canadian fauna and flora. If you like authenticity, head to the Old Town and its Old Port, where you can see, among other things, the Notre-Dame Basilica and its superb blue and gold interior. To finish, make a stop at the Olympic Park and its panoramic tower (the tallest inclined tower in the world)! Overnight at the hotel.

  Day 3: Montreal - Kamouraska

  This morning, pick up your vehicle in downtown Montreal and head towards the Gaspé Peninsula! You will cross the regions of Cœur du Québec and Chaudière-Appalaches. Along your route, take the opportunity to visit St-Jean-Port-Joli, the capital of wood sculpture, as well as L'Islet-sur-Mer and its Bernier Museum recounting the history of the St. Lawrence. Check-in at the Auberge des Aboîteaux or similar for the night.

• day 4

  Day 4: Kamouraska - Bic Park

  Today, you will head back on the road leading to the village of Bic, along the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River. Take the opportunity to discover Bic Park, its marine wildlife, and its rocky headlands adorned with rare plants. If you are traveling as a couple, go and admire one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world! Overnight stay at the Auberge du Mange Grenouille or in a similar establishment.

• day 5

  Day 5: Bic - La Matapédia - Carleton - Maria

  New day, new stage! You take the road that goes down towards the Baie des Chaleurs while crossing the Matapédia valley; heading to Mont-Joli. At the entrance to the Baie des Chaleurs (which owes its name to the warm air current that passes through its center), you will pass through “Nouvelle” at the gates of the Miguasha Natural Park, a unique fossil site in the world where fish and plants have been trapped in the cliffs for 365 million years. Overnight in Carleton, at the Martin Pêcheur guesthouse.

• day 6

  Day 6: Carleton - Percé

  After your breakfast, you will get back on the road along the Baie des Chaleurs. Passing through Maria, you can visit the Micmac Indian reserve! Also stop at New Richmond, a typical Anglo-Saxon village, or at Paspébiac, where the Basque-origin inhabitants speak to you with a mix of 2 accents! Arrival in Percé, famous for its impressive rock, check-in and overnight at La Rêvasse guesthouse or similar.

• day 7

  Day 7: Percé

  Today, you set out to discover Percé Rock! We recommend the mini-cruise to Bonaventure Island: a true sanctuary for nature. On the flora side, you will find a beautiful coniferous forest filled with wildflowers. On the fauna side, you will not be disappointed with the 200,000 birds that live there, including 50,000 Northern Gannets.

• day 8

  Day 8: Percé - Sainte-Anne-des-Monts

  Morning discovery of Forillon Park and its very diverse vegetation, then you will get back on the road towards Gaspé, where a stop at the Musée de la Gaspésie is a must. Continuing towards Ste-Anne-des-Monts and its salmon river, you will arrive at the gates of the Gaspésie Park and its Chic-Chocs wildlife reserves. Check-in at the La Seigneurie des Monts inn or similar.

• day 9

  Day 9: Sainte-Anne-des-Monts

  Day dedicated to visiting the vast Gaspésie Park, an ocean of mountains in the very heart of the Gaspé Peninsula. It has about 25 peaks over 1,000 m, including the famous Chic-Chocs mountains. You will find many breathtaking panoramas there! If you are particularly interested in marine life, take a trip to Exploramer, which has made it its mission to raise visitors' awareness about the preservation of the St. Lawrence marine environment. Return to the inn for the night.

• day 10

  Day 10: Sainte-Anne-des-Monts - crossing - Les Escoumins

  This morning, departure towards Matane, the world capital of shrimp. On the road, passing through Cap-Chat, you can observe its impressive 110 m high wind turbine. Once you reach the end of the road, you will take the Matane ferry to Les Escoumins for about 2h20 of crossing. Drive to the Natakam condos, where you will be accommodated on the banks of the St. Lawrence.

• day 11

  Day 11: Essipit Outfitters

  You are at the entrance to the Côte-Nord, near Tadoussac, an ideal starting point for whale watching as they regularly surface near the boats. You can also enjoy the tranquility and the many activities offered at the Pourvoirie Essipit, where you will spend a second night tonight. If you are looking for a typical menu, try the restaurant La Galouine, with its friendly atmosphere.

• day 12

  Day 12: Les Escoumins - Quebec

  After crossing the Saguenay River, you are now in the very beautiful Charlevoix region, heading towards La Malbaie–Pointe-au-Pic, the birthplace of Canadian vacationing. On your way, stop to admire the spectacular Montmorency Falls. Make a stop on Île d'Orléans, where you can enjoy a typical meal in a sugar shack. Arrival in Quebec City, check-in and overnight at Hôtel Le Classique or similar.

• day 13

  Days 13 and 14: Quebec

  Today, you set out to discover Quebec! You will have no trouble finding the famous Château Frontenac, ideally located near the fortifications that you can visit afterwards. Stroll through the Petit Champlain district, facing the St. Lawrence River, or wander along the picturesque little rue du Trésor and its painters. Located 30 minutes from Quebec, the First Nations museum-hotel invites you to discover the history of the Amerindians and the Huron reserve of Wendake. Overnight in Quebec.

• day 14

  Day 15: Quebec - Lac St-Jean

  This morning, you head north again, crossing the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve. Upon your arrival at Lac St-Jean, you will settle in for 3 nights at La Maison Robertson, in the Mashteuiatsh Amerindian reserve. This magnificent inn, located on the banks of the St. Lawrence, has managed to retain its charm and authenticity. You will be able to see works created by local Amerindian artisans there.

• day 15

  Day 16 and 17: Lake St-Jean

  Take advantage of this short stay around Lake St-Jean to visit the Amerindian reserve of Pointe-Bleue and its small authentic museum. Take a trip to the ghost village of Val-Jalbert, frozen in the 1930s! For a family stay, consider visiting the St-Félicien zoo, where you can travel through nature aboard a protected train, surrounded by free-roaming animals. For nature lovers, a bike ride on "La Route des Bleuets" is a must!

• day 16

  Day 18: Lac St-Jean - Lac Édouard

  Today, you head to the Seigneurie du Triton, a legendary outfitter located on the shores of Lake St-Jean. On the way, you can treat yourself to 30 minutes of thrills by flying over the Mauricie forest in a seaplane! Settle into your room for 2 nights in a beautiful forest hotel. If you feel a bit more adventurous, try an experience in a tipi in the heart of the forest, on the banks of the Bastican River.

  Day 19: Seigneurie du Triton

  You will stay on a full board basis in this superb forest hotel, unique in its kind and with more than 110 years of history. Its impressive forests, home to wild fauna and flora, can be explored through various outdoor and nature observation activities.

• day 18

  Day 20: Lac Édouard - Dorval

  This morning, you return to civilization and leave the outfitter. You will cross the Mauricie Valley and enjoy your last moments in the heart of nature. Meet at the end of the day at Montreal-Dorval airport. Return your rental vehicle. Check-in, police, and customs formalities. Flight to Europe. Dinner and overnight on board.

  Day 21: Montreal - Europe
