Discover Issyk-Kul, the blue pearl of Central Asia, nestled in its green setting, before venturing into the remote mountains of Kyrgyzstan up to the alpine lake of Song-Kul.   • day 1

    Welcome and relaxation in the green mountains of Kyrgyz Aili

    Welcome by our team upon your arrival, and transfer to the Kyrgyz Aili camp.

  • day 2

    Issyk Kul, the blue pearl of Central Asia

    Visit to the Burana minaret on the way leading us into the Boom gorge. We discover this magnificent canyon, where the rock formations tower over us. After lunch, we drive towards Lake Issyk Kul.

  • day 3

    Grigorievka Gorges

    This morning, we discover the Ruh Ordo Cultural Center, located in Cholpon Ata, which highlights the 4 main religions. We continue towards Grigorievka, where a 2 to 3 hour hike awaits us. We follow the river until we reach this small mountain lake.

  • day 4

    Horseback ride in Oi-Tal

    This morning, we set off for a short horseback ride to discover the Oi Tal gorge. After lunch, we get back on the road towards Karakol, a small resort town that has a few sights. We visit the Orthodox cathedral as well as the Dungan mosque. We end this day with a visit to the Przewalsky museum, which displays the local history.

    On the south shore of the lake

    Arrival in the Jety Orguz valley, known for its monumental red rock ridges, nicknamed "the 7 bulls." We stroll for a few hours in the surrounding area. Visit to the superb Skaska canyon, meaning "fairy tale" in Kyrgyz. After having lunch by the lake, we head to the village of Kyzyl-Tuu, renowned for the traditional making of Kyrgyz yurts. You will be welcomed by a local family, who will show you how to set up a yurt.

    Discovery of pastoral life at Son Kul

    We return to the main road heading towards the village of Kochkor, renowned for its local development initiatives. Visit to the women's cooperative where felt carpets (sherdaks) are made. Arrival on the shores of Lake Son-Kul, the second wonder of Kyrgyzstan. This immense alpine lake is the country's primary freshwater reserve. Located in the middle of the celestial mountains, it rises to 3016 meters above sea level and has long stimulated the imagination of foreign travelers. Its crystalline water is of incredible purity and changes color with the weather, shifting from blue to green, sometimes turning orange. Accommodation with a family of shepherds on the shores of the lake. Lunch with our hosts and free time in the afternoon to stroll along the lake's shores, or simply enjoy life in the company of Kyrgyz herders.

    Horseback riding

    A beautiful horseback ride awaits us today. We leave behind the beautiful steppes of Lake Son Kul, to cross the Tuz-Achou pass (3227 meters above sea level), before gently descending towards the high plateaus of Kyzart (2664 m).

    The Kekemeren River

    We get back on the road towards Bishkek, via the magnificent Soussamir valley. We pass through the small village of Kyzyl Oi, nestled in the heart of a sublime gorge. Here, the

    Back to the capital

    We leave the green Kyrgyz mountains to return to the capital. We visit Ala-Too Square, as well as the Osh bazaar. Free evening.
