Stay program

  • day 1

    Trip to Banaue

    The group meets in Manila in the evening and we sleep while we travel along winding mountain roads. When we wake up, we will be in Banaue, where the famous rice terraces are located, often called the eighth wonder of the world.

  • day 2

    Batad

    We are going to Batad, a village located in an amphitheater of terraced rice fields. We walk through the rice fields to a spectacular waterfall and spend the night in the village.

  • day 3

    Crossing from Bontoc to Sagada

    We leave Batad and take the scenic road to Sagada. We stop at Bontoc, where we learn about the customs of the indigenous people of the mountain region. In Sagada, we take a preliminary tour of the village and its picturesque surroundings.

  • day 4

    Highlights of Sagada

    We do a lot of hiking to see the many attractions of Sagada. These include a sacred waterfall, hanging coffins, an underground river, and local craft shops.

  • day 5

    Sagada Caving

    We saved the best for last. We spend an exhilarating morning underground, through a strange cave system. In the afternoon, we say goodbye to the Cordillera mountains and take a bus to Manila.

    Arrival in Manila

    Around 2 a.m., we arrive at the Manila bus station.
