Trip Description

Multi-activities: cycling in Bangkok and Ayutthaya, train and tuk-tuk rides, river cruises, short nature hikes and beach. Cultural immersion: must-see temples, discovery of local markets, including the floating market and the railway market, night cruise in Amphawa and discovery of traditional villages. Encounter with wildlife and flora: visit to an ethical elephant sanctuary, walk in nature to discover local flora and observation of wildlife on the Sangkhlaburi lake. Unusual experiences: night on a floating raft on the River Kwai, boat crossing of the Sangkhlaburi lake, relaxation in natural hot springs, visit to a spectacular cave.     Today, find your guide for an original bike ride in the heart of Bangkok. From the very first pedal strokes, you will feel like you are leaving the capital for a more peaceful world. On the agenda for this adventure: exploration of local life and traditional houses, a visit to the village of Baan Pu, famous for its polished stone vases, temples and local markets, then lunch by the riverside.     Welcome to Thailand. Our driver welcomes you at Bangkok airport and transfers you to your hotel in a private minivan. Small neighborhoods dating from the 18th century, temples, street-food vendors, and skyscrapers: everything is gathered here for a guaranteed change of scenery. During your free day, visit the city at your own pace thanks to our tips (which you will find in your travel diary). Visit your neighborhood, take a cruise on the Chao Phraya, explore the markets, go shopping or visit Wat Arun: the choice of activities is wide and varied. Overnight in Bangkok.

    Immersion in the heart of Bangkok

    Take advantage of a half-day to visit the main cultural sites of the capital. Start by visiting the Royal Palace, symbol of the kingdom, then Wat Phra Kaew, the temple housing the most revered Buddha among Thais. Continue to Wat Pho to admire the largest reclining Buddha in the world. End your excursion with a stop at the amulet market, where you can get a genuine handmade amulet made by a monk.     Discovery of temples and cruise in Ayutthaya

    Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Bangkok station with your luggage. With your French-speaking guide, take the train to Ayutthaya, the former royal capital listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover its iconic temples by tuk-tuk and by bike, including the famous Buddha in the roots and Wat Yai Chai Mongkul. After lunch, a river cruise will reveal local life along the water, between temples, churches, and mosques. Overnight in Ayutthaya.

    Direction Kanchanaburi

    Take advantage of this early morning to relax by the pool, then, around 12pm, your driver will pick you up in Ayutthaya and transfer you to Kanchanaburi in a private minivan. Settle in and relax at your hotel facing the river. Feel free to stroll through the streets of this small town and visit its market. Night in Kanchanaburi.

    Exploring the Erawan waterfalls and overnight stay in a floating hotel.

    Today, head towards the stunning Erawan waterfalls, which stretch over 7 levels! Have lunch in a typical Thai restaurant before visiting the Hell Fire Pass railway. Then, join your floating raft on the River Kwai where you will spend the night. End your day with a delicious Thai dinner to enjoy above the water. Night in Sai Yok.

    Discovery of Sangkhlaburi

    Today, departure for the lake of Sangkhlaburi. On the way, take a coffee break at the magnificent Kroeng Krawai waterfalls. Continue your walk at the Three Pagodas Pass and discover a local market. Then set off for a trek of one to two hours in the splendid nature of Sangkhlaburi. Go down the river on a bamboo raft, before having lunch in a local restaurant. Board your traditional boat for a ride of about one hour on the lake, discovering the local fauna and flora. Overnight in Sangkhlaburi.

    Meeting with the elephants

    Elephant Heaven, Kanchanaburi

    As soon as you wake up, go for a walk on the largest bamboo bridge in Thailand, admire the fabulous Mon temple and enjoy a moment of relaxation in the Hindad hot springs. After lunch in a local restaurant, head to an elephant sanctuary, where you can observe and spend time with these giants. Accompany them for their bath in the river and give them some fresh fruit. The day will end with a boat ride on the River Kwai. Overnight in Kanchanaburi.

    Direction Amphawa and its floating market.

    Your driver will pick you up at your hotel in Kanchanaburi and transfer you to Amphawa. On the way, visit the majestic stupa of Wat Phra Pathom Chedi, a millennial spiritual witness. Then, enjoy your afternoon exploring freely the temple nestled in a sacred tree, Wat Bang Kung. In the late afternoon, you will reach the Amphawa floating market by boat. Disembark on the docks and stroll freely along the canals. In the evening, you can admire the sparkling fireflies by the riverside. Overnight in Amphawa.

    Mae Klong train market, then heading to Pranburi.

    This morning, set off by tuk-tuk to experience the unique Maeklong Railway Market, the famous market located on the train tracks. Then, in the afternoon, leave by private minivan towards Pranburi, an authentic and preserved region, between fishing villages, mangroves, coconut groves, and local life. Night in Pranburi.
