day 1
Arrival in MarrakechWelcome by your tour guide and transfer to your hotel with a swimming pool. Free time to discover the Medina, the souks, and the famous Jemaa El Fna square. A large open space where snake charmers enchant their cobras with flutes, and healers present cures and remedies. It is only in the late afternoon that the square really starts to come alive. At dusk, as in France and Spain, people stroll in the early evening (Bab Agnaou street), and the square gradually fills up until it becomes a carnival of storytellers, acrobats, musicians, and artists. To refresh yourself, the stalls offer orange and grapefruit juice, while the nearby carts are filled with dates, dried figs, and almonds. The square becomes a huge open-air dining room, and the air is filled with wonderful smells and plumes of smoke drifting into the night.
