A week on the edge of winter or for a first approach to the desert. It is called the region of the Marabouts and also that of the ancient oases. It is a tide of sand all crested with gold that rises from the Sahara, gradually covering the springs and oases towards the Great Tunisian South. It is the domain of dunes and silence, the discovery of a new dimension... It is the land of Berber nomads, of small lost oases, of sand-covered, forgotten villages... A week of sunshine in the heart of winter, a time for oneself in a world of absoluteness, beauty, and renewal.

DJERBA
* Welcome at Djerba airport and transfer to a hotel * Dinner and overnight at the Marhala hotel.

DESERT
* Breaking camp after breakfast and departure for a 2nd day of progress in the heart of the Sahara through the dunes of the Grand Erg Oriental; meals are prepared on site; they are hearty and well balanced: salads for lunch and cooked vegetables in the evening, accompanied by traditional bread baked in the sand, méchoui, couscous, soup, seasonal fruit, tea, water, always around a palm fire. * Lunch among the dunes. * Dinner and overnight in a bivouac.

* Breaking camp after breakfast and departure for a 2nd day of trekking in the heart of the Sahara, through the dunes of the Grand Erg Oriental.
