Trip Description

We offer you the chance to experience part of this magnificent route in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, not on foot but on horseback. You will go on a three-day horseback trek to Lake Sary-Chelek, enjoy all the beauties of the protected Tian Shan area and, at the same time, not get tired at all, but on the contrary, replenish your resources, especially thanks to lively and close communication with friendly horses. The second part of the tour will be devoted to discovering the Ferghana Valley and excursions to its ancient cities: Osh, Margilan, Rishtan, and Kokand. The tour allows you to combine two types of holidays and two countries – Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, starting in Osh and ending in Tashkent. This trip is designed for groups. You can join any group that suits you according to the dates.

day 1
Och - Kara Village - Sou (1,300 m; 350 km; 6 h)
Arrival in Och. Transfer to the city, then to the village of Kara-Sou (1,300 m altitude; 350 km; 6 h). Dinner and overnight in the traditional guesthouse.
day 2
Horseback riding (17 km)
Ascent via the Kara-Sou pass towards the lake of the same name (1,800 m, 17 km, 4 hours). Dinner and overnight stay in the tent camp.
day 3
Horseback riding (12 km)
Ascent to the Koutourma gorge. Descent from the Koutourma gorge to Lake Iri-Kel (1300 m; 12 km; 6 h). Dinner and overnight in the tent camp.
day 4
Horseback riding (5 km). Transfer to Osh (320 km; 6 h)
Passage from Lake Iri-Kel to the southern part of Lake Sari-Chelek (4-5 km; 2 h). Transfer to Osh (320 km; 6 h). Check-in at the hotel. Free time, dinner not included, to be paid on site. Overnight at the hotel.
day 5
Och - Margilan - Richtan - Kokand (190 km, 5-6 h)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border, "Doustlik" checkpoint. Crossing the border. Meeting with the guide on the Uzbek side. Transfer to Margilan. Visit of the famous "Yedgorlik" silk weaving factory, then an oriental market and the Said Akhmad-Khodja madrasa, in whose cells artisans hand-weave silk carpets. Lunch – tasting of plov from the Ferghana region. Transfer to Rishtan. Visit of the potteries of famous ceramic artisans, whose works are unique. Dinner at a ceramist's home. Tasting of a national dish – dimlama. After dinner, transfer to Kokand. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Kokand (visits). Kokand - Tashkent (240 km, 4-5 h)
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Kokand: Palace of Khudayar Khan, Mausoleum of Madari Khan, Djami Mosque, Sarimodor Necropolis. Lunch in a chaikhana. Tasting of skewers. Drive to Tashkent. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Free dinner, overnight at the hotel.

Tashkent - Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Free time, without transportation or excursions included. Our recommendation: visit the market, stroll in the city center. Transfer to the airport. Departure flight from Tashkent.
