The cruise then sails upriver to Kom Ombo, whose double temple is dedicated to the gods Sobek and Horus, then to Edfu, where Egypt’s best-preserved temple stands. In Luxor, explore the majestic Karnak complex and the Luxor Temple, before crossing to the west bank to discover the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings.     Welcome to Aswan. Our tour manager will meet you and assist you at Aswan Airport, the railway station, or your hotel. You will then be escorted to your 5-star Nile cruise for check-in. After a leisurely lunch on board, begin your exploration of Aswan: The Aswan High Dam – An engineering marvel containing 16 times more materials than those used in the Great Pyramids of Giza. The Unfinished Obelisk – Located in the ancient granite quarries, this massive obelisk remains attached to the bedrock, revealing how the ancient Egyptians carved these colossal monuments. Philae Temple (motorboat ride) – Take a motorboat to Agilika Island to visit this UNESCO World Heritage site. The entire temple complex was meticulously dismantled and moved here to protect it from the rising waters of the Nile, following the construction of the dam.     After disembarkation, cross to the west bank of the Nile for a full day of exploration. Colossi of Memnon – Photo stop in front of these two imposing stone statues, which once guarded the entrance to the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III Temple of Hatshepsut (El-Deir El-Bahari) – Visit the spectacular terraced temple of Egypt’s most famous ruler, Queen Hatshepsut Valley of the Kings – Explore the royal necropolis of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom.
