  • day 1

    From Toronto to Montreal

    Meet your guide and fellow travelers in Toronto and travel along the St. Lawrence Seaway to Montreal, the city of festivals and the largest French-speaking city outside Europe. On the way, we stop for a beautiful cruise in the Thousand Islands. Tonight, we will explore the vibrant nightlife of this wonderful city. (Thousand Islands boat cruise included).

    Montreal

    Take advantage of some free time to explore the picturesque city of Montreal, including Mount Royal, the old town, the shops, the cathedrals, as well as the cafés and bars.

  • day 3

    From Montreal to Rivière-du-Loup

    Our journey east continues as we cross the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River to our destination for the night: Rivière-du-Loup. Our travels take us along spectacular views through small French-speaking towns, founded by Basque fishermen from France more than 350 years ago. The Saint Lawrence River changes from fresh water to salt water in this region, so keep an eye out for seals and other marine animals. Group dinner at the inn tonight and free time afterwards.

    From Rivière-du-Loup to Moncton

    We are going from Quebec to New Brunswick, the only officially bilingual province in Canada, so you can continue practicing your French! It is the homeland of the Acadians, a warm and friendly people, who have a proud history and a rich culture. Today, we see the longest covered bridge in the world, as well as the magnetic hill.

    From Moncton to Halifax

    This morning, we begin our journey in another province of the East, Nova Scotia! We will board a cruise at the scheduled time and enjoy an incredibly fresh lobster lunch. We will arrive in Halifax in the late afternoon, then meet our guide for a walk in this beautiful city of the Maritimes. We will then enjoy dinner and the unique nightlife!

    Halifax

    Enjoy plenty of free time to explore Halifax on foot today. There are many things to see and do in this maritime city. We recommend visiting Keith's Brewery, Pier 21, or the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic! Then, we will go for a group dinner in a local pub!

  • day 7

    From Halifax to Pleasant Bay

    This morning, we will meet all the passengers during our guided tour of Newfie, then we will head towards the incredible region known as the Cape Breton Highlands, which is home to Canada's Scottish heritage. We will have several breathtaking photo stops along the way and we will walk on the famous Skyline Trail, where we will keep an eye out for moose! Tonight, we are staying in a lovely youth hostel located on the Cape Breton road.

    From Pleasant Bay to Baddeck

    Today, we continue to explore the Cape Breton region. This morning, you have the option to add (50 $ - 33 €) to participate in an extraordinary whale watching excursion in the Atlantic Ocean! We continue our walk along the Cabot Trail and stop for an easy hike up to the Skyline ridge, where the views are spectacular! We spend the evening by the lake and roast marshmallows over the campfire!

    From Baddeck to Norris Point

    This morning, we board the ferry to Newfoundland! The trip takes about 6 hours, then we head to Norris Point, a picturesque coastal community in Newfoundland located at the gateway to Gros Morne National Park. Take some free time this evening with friends to explore this small town.

    Norris Point - Gros Morne National Park

    Take advantage of this free day to enjoy the many activities offered in this relaxing small town. Optional activities include sea kayaking, a boat tour through the freshwater fjord carved by glaciers, or, for the more adventurous, the famous hike up Gros Morne Mountain where the view is breathtaking. After an incredible day, relax at the inn and enjoy the dinner prepared by your guide.

    From Norris Point to Botwood

    Have a beautiful morning hike in Gros Morne National Park before arriving in Botwood. This town is centered around a protected deep-water port, which is used by cargo ships and cruise liners from all over the world. Depending on the time of year, we may be able to spot magnificent icebergs floating by! Tonight, we have a group meal at the inn (included) and free time in the evening.

    From Botwood to Trinity East

    Early this morning, we continue our journey across the Bonavista Peninsula to a small town called Trinity East. We will explore this region by hiking the famous Skerwink Trail. On the trail, we will see layers of bedrock that are tilted nearly 90 degrees on Sherwink Head, as well as many other spectacular landforms. After a full day of hiking, we will enjoy a relaxing group dinner and an evening at the inn.

    From Trinity East to St. John's

    Today, our itinerary includes St. Johns, one of the oldest cities in North America. With a variety of annual events and festivals, unique attractions, as well as breathtaking land and sea landscapes, there is something for everyone. Join our guide for a city walk, then relax (or party) with a few drinks on George Street, known for its many pubs and bars! It's the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a local pub!

    From St. John's to the ferry

    Returning to the continent today, we will note that this region is home to the largest puffin colony in the world, the southernmost caribou herd in the world, the oldest permanent and continuous settlement in Canada, some of the oldest and rarest marine fossils in the world, as well as a unique culture that clearly reflects the settlement of Irish immigrants over the past 40 years. We will board the ferry in the early evening for our overnight adventure across the sea!

    From the ferry to Moncton

    We are returning to New Brunswick today and stopping to visit Hopewell Rocks, an extraordinary area of the Bay of Fundy. This is where you can see and learn about the incredible tidal changes, which are among the most significant in the world! Tonight, join our guide for a city walk and a night out!

  • day 17

    From Moncton to Gaspé

    This morning, we will head north to Gaspésie, a beautiful region bordering the sea and the Saint Lawrence River. We will spend this afternoon and evening in a unique inn called the Seashack, located on the beach, with many outdoor activities and a tiki bar!

    Gaspésie

    We will spend the day exploring the Gaspésie National Park, surrounded by the Chic-Choc and McGerrigle mountains. The altitude of these mountains profoundly influences the climate, which shapes the landscape and creates a diversity of species unique to Quebec and even the world! We will go hiking and may see a moose or a caribou, then we will spend the evening at the Seashack to enjoy a campfire under the stars or relax in the jacuzzi! You will also have the opportunity to take part in a moonlit sea kayaking excursion!

    From Gaspésie to Quebec

    Today, we are heading back to Quebec. We have a long drive today, but the destination is worth it. With a quick stop first at Montmorency Falls, which are 1.5 times higher than Niagara Falls, we arrive in Quebec around lunchtime. Quebec is the only fortified city in North America and a spectacular place! Tonight, we can enjoy poutine or crepes to taste the local flavors. Bon appétit!

    City of Québec

    We are taking the time today to stroll along the narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets, visiting shops, museums, and cafés. We will enjoy another group dinner at our hostel, then tonight, we can visit a local bar to listen to live music!

  • day 21

    From the city of Quebec to Ottawa

    Today, we are traveling through the countryside of the beautiful province and heading to the capital of Canada, Ottawa. After settling into our one-of-a-kind hostel, which was once a prison, join our guide for a walking tour of the city up to Parliament Hill. Then finish at the ByWard Market, where we can sit at an outdoor café and enjoy the atmosphere.

    From Ottawa to Toronto

    The last day of our incredible visit! Today we are heading to Toronto for a picnic at Sandbanks Provincial Park, on one of the most beautiful beaches in Ontario! We will arrive in Toronto around 6:00 PM to drop you off at your downtown hostel.
