This is the great day. If you really want to discover Mardi Gras like the local residents, prepare your suit in advance and start walking the streets of French Quarter early in the morning. Join the St Ann Parade that starts in the Marigny at the Mimi's bar, or take it through the R bar or Café Brazil and become another person for a whole day.

Day 3 : A Day to extend

The carnival aftermath usually begin very late, because the night has been long. When you get out for a refreshing brunch at Café du Monde and enjoy the rest of the day walking the streets of New Orleans, the atmosphere will still be festive.
