Beijing in open air

Trip description

Surprisingly, Beijing is a green capital. In addition to the large number of parks in the city centre, the surrounding areas of Beijing offer an opportunity to make great oxygenating walks.

Day 1: Getting fresh air at the Great Wall

Day 2: Canoeing on Lake Kunming

Day 3: Get some fresh air at the scented hills

Day 1 : Getting fresh air at the Great Wall

You will need to plan for an excursion on the great wall as a priority. A tonic walk to reach Simatai from Jinshanling can be tiring (it takes at least four hours walking) but this excursion is very beautiful to discover the landscapes of North China.

An outing at Summer Palace is perfect to breathe and escape from pollution. Especially as it may also be an opportunity to test a canoe excursion on Kunming lake.

Day 3 : Get some fresh air at the scented hills

Finally, those who love large spaces and/or those who love plants can go to the scented hills. This very large park of 160 hectares is particularly pleasant (and extremely appreciated by the Beijinger) in autumn when the maples that cover the mountain slopes take extraordinary red hues.
