Arrival at Rio de Janeiro international airport, here for our French guide and transfer to your hotel located on the famous Copacabana or Ipanema beach. After lunch, we will finish the day with a cable car ride to the Sugar Loaf, a true symbol of protection of the entrance to Guanabara Bay, the Sugar Loaf dominates RIO from its 395 meters and offers an exceptional panorama of the city. Departure from your hotel around 09:00 for the imperial city of Petropolis. It is located 68 km from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Nestled in the forest of the Serra dos Órgãos hills. Petropolis is a popular summer resort. Arrival in the city at 10:30 am. You will visit the former summer palace of the Brazilian Emperor, now the Imperial Museum, the Crystal Palace and the Santos Dumont Museum. Lunch. Afternoon visit to the Cathedral of Saint Peter of Alcantara with the Imperial Mausoleum. Return to Rio and your hotel around 5pm. Free evening. Overnight stay.

EVENING OPTION - Dinner in the lively Lapa district. This is one of the liveliest neighbourhoods on weekends with lots of music in the bars and in the square next to the arches. Samba, forró and popular Brazilian music can be heard.

It's the weekend and the beginning of the CARNIVAL PARADE. The day (like Sunday) will be open to the benefit of the beaches of Copacabana or Ipanema and the Name of the Street Parades that are organized along the river. These are groups of percussionists who parade, accompanied by people in disguise. Crazy atmosphere guaranteed. Your guide will be present to guide you through this huge crowd in a trance-like state.

OPTION: Visit the beaches of Barra da Tijuca (the largest in Rio) and Prainha (surfers' beach) with a seaside. On the way back visit LEGEP (Rio's largest gemstone shop)

Evening and free dinner to stroll along Copacabana beach and enjoy the names of small bars and restaurants. Overnight stay.

CARNIVAL EVENING at SAMBODROMO to attend the first night of the official parades (8pm / 6am) of the 06 best samba schools ranked in 2019. The 06 others will parade on Monday night. Departure from your hotel around 8pm with your guide. You will watch the parades from your CAMAROTTE, a private lodge with a full buffet, drinks and hostesses. As the parade ends at 6am, 2 transfers back to the hotel will be organised during the night, the schedule will be communicated to you when you leave the hotel for the Sambodrome.

The day will be free to enjoy a special Sunday and enjoy the beaches. Sunday is a special day for the Carioca, the main avenue is closed to traffic, the locals and tourists take the opportunity to do all kinds of sports activities, jogging, biking, beach volleyball, etc ... not to mention the many streets. parades that will also be organized on Ipanema and Copacabana. No guide for this day.

OPTIONAL CARNIVAL EVENING at the SAMBODROMO to attend the second night of the parade (20:00 / 06:00) of the six best Samba schools ranked in 2019. Departure from your hotel around 8pm with your guide. Installation in a grandstand or private lodge. The parades will end at 6am, the will be the organizer of several transfers back to the hotel in the evening, the hours will be to communicate the votes of the vote at the departure of the hotel for the Sambodromo.
